Volunteer Support at Chilean Ministry of Education
Facebook: English Opens Doors Chile
Website: English Opens Doors Website
Supported by the Chilean Ministry of Education and the UN Development Programme, the English Opens Doors Program works with native and near-native English speakers between 21 and 35 years old to teach English in Chile under the direction of head teachers in public and semi-private schools.
Administered by the Chilean Ministry of Education in conjunction with the United Nations Development Programme-Chile, English Opens Doors offers you the security of volunteering with a program supported by two highly legitimate international organizations.
Whether you’re a recent college graduate or young professional, EOD is an exciting opportunity for professional development. As a teaching assistant, you will work collaboratively with your host teacher to plan lessons as well as work independently to conduct classes in your own English-only classroom. Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to hone your leadership skills while running extra-curricular activities for your students.
EOD helps you develop the cross-cultural communication and leadership skills necessary to succeed in today’s globalized world.
We are currently looking for qualified individuals who might be interested in coming to Chile to participate in one of our Volunteer Service Initiatives in 2013. For more information about this volunteer opportunity, and to apply, please visit our website at www.centrodevoluntarios.cl.
