The SIMCE 2014 is supposed to be the same test format as the SIMCE 2012. The “licitación” or “bid” was for both test cycles. This is important because it is the only way you can compare the results of both tests. For example, the 2010 test was a different format, TOEIC Bridge”, and those results are not comparable to the 2012 test. Anyone who tries to compare the 2 tests is comparing apples and oranges, because the tests are as different as apples and oranges, although both are considered to be round.

Some people will say that one test was harder, one test was eqasier, but even that is not true, because the students who took the test were different.

To sum up, any comparison that anyone tries to make can only be in general, subjective terms, like, for example, an orange is rounder, sweeter, and more juicy than an apple, however, students usually give apples to teachers they like or admire.

As you can see, there is no logic to comparing things that are different, because logically, you would give the sweeter and jucier and rounder orange to the teacher, but the overwhelming preference is for the apple…

Summary: Same test in 2014, the results of 2010 and 2012 are not comparable in any meaningful way, regardless of any logic to the contrary…
